This is the agreement between SundayPilot and your church. We've written it the way we'd want to read it — plainly, and short enough to actually read before checkout.
A SundayPilot membership belongs to your church. One membership covers one congregation or campus and its Sunday workflow — the Planning Center connection, the series looks, the weekly presentations, and the team who works on them. If your church has multiple campuses or you're part of a multi-site network, write to us and we'll figure out the right setup together.
Your team's message notes, series artwork, and presentations remain your church's. We use them to prepare your Sundays, not for anything else.
Membership is billed through Stripe, annually or monthly depending on the plan your church chooses. Your membership renews automatically at the end of each paid period — each year or each month, on the date you joined — at your membership's rate, using the payment method your church keeps on file with Stripe. You'll get a receipt from Stripe every time, same as the first one.
Founding churches join at $999 per year or $99 per month, and that rate stays with your membership for as long as the membership stays active. Here is what that promise means in practice: your rate never buys less. Your founding membership includes everything SundayPilot's membership includes today, plus what we add to the core product over time. If we ever introduce pricing tiers, your founding membership maps to a tier that includes at least everything your membership already has — at your founding rate.
The founding rate lives with a continuous membership. If your church cancels, chooses not to renew, or lets the membership lapse, the founding rate ends with it — a church that rejoins later does so at the current rate. We want that to be plain up front, not fine print discovered later.
Your church's first sermon series in SundayPilot is free — the whole series, from naming it and writing the big idea, through the approved look, to each week's presentation returned to Planning Center. Nothing is charged, and no card is asked for, during that first series.
A series is complete when its final week's presentation has been returned to Planning Center, or when the church has clearly reached the end it planned. At that point SundayPilot asks whether your church would like to continue with a founding membership. If not, nothing is owed, and everything created during the first series — the look, the presentations, the plan — remains your church's.
Because you don't pay until SundayPilot has already carried a whole series to Sunday, memberships that begin after your first series do not include a separate money-back guarantee. Refunds follow the billing period, and we don't offer partial or pro-rata refunds. Cancel an annual membership mid-year and your church keeps full access until the end of the paid year; cancel a monthly membership and access runs to the end of the paid month. Either way, the membership simply doesn't renew.
Founding churches who joined before the first-series offer, under the 30-day money-back guarantee, keep the guarantee exactly as it was written when they joined.
You can cancel any time — from Settings → Membership inside SundayPilot, or by emailing support@getsundaypilot.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period — the year or the month you've already paid for — and your team keeps access until then. Choosing not to renew works the same way as cancelling; both end the membership and, with it, the founding rate.
Cards expire and treasurers go on vacation — we know how church finance works. If a renewal payment fails, nothing is lost right away: Stripe retries the payment and we email your church. You have 30 days to update the payment method, and if it's sorted within that window, your membership and founding rate continue exactly as before. If the payment can't be completed within 30 days, the membership lapses, which works like a cancellation.
Churches merge, rename, and reorganize. If yours does, your membership and founding rate transfer to the successor congregation — just write to us so we can update the account. A membership can't be sold or transferred to an unrelated church.
If we make a meaningful change to these terms, we'll email your church before it takes effect. The founding-rate promise above isn't something we'll walk back.
