SundayPilot handles your church's most personal work — your pastor's words. This page says plainly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it.
Your account: the name and email you sign in with. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, our authentication provider — we never see or store your password.
Your church's setup: the church name, screen configuration, and the preferences your team saves as your Sunday Profile.
Your Planning Center connection: when you connect Planning Center, we store the access tokens (encrypted at rest) and read the plans, series details, and message notes your team already manages there. We only read what the workflow needs.
Your content: the message notes, sermon documents, series artwork, and presentations that SundayPilot ingests and produces for your church.
Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. Card and bank details go directly to Stripe — they never touch our servers. We see what Stripe shows any merchant: who paid, when, and for what.
One purpose: preparing your Sundays. We use your data to sync with Planning Center, build each week's presentation from the message notes, generate series artwork, learn your church's formatting preferences, and return finished files to your plan.
To generate artwork and slides, the relevant content — a message's notes, a series title, your art direction — is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) through their business API. Under that API's terms, your content is not used to train their models.
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads or share your information with advertisers. We don't use your sermons, artwork, or church information for anything other than serving your church. Your pastor's words belong to your church — that principle is built into the product, and it holds here too.
SundayPilot runs on a small set of service providers, each doing one job: Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Planning Center (the integration your team connects), OpenAI (artwork and slide generation), Supabase (database and file storage), and Vercel (hosting). Each receives only what its job requires.
Everything moves over encrypted connections. Planning Center tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate SundayPilot — which, today, is the founder you can email below.
We use the cookies required to keep you signed in, and nothing else. No advertising trackers, no cross-site anything.
Want a copy of your church's data, or want it deleted? Email us and we'll take care of it. If your membership ends, we'll delete your church's data on request.
If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your church's data, we'll email you before it takes effect.
